Cookie Policy

Fair Go cookie policy explaining the site's current cookie-free analytics setup, technical logs, external links and browser controls.

Effective and last updated: 23 August 2026

1. Current Cookie Status

At the effective date shown above, Fair Go’s website code does not intentionally set analytics, advertising, remarketing or personalisation cookies. The site does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, embedded social feeds or third-party font services.

The site also does not use localStorage or sessionStorage to remember a visitor or build a behavioural profile. Temporary interface states — such as whether a menu, FAQ answer or responsible gambling widget is open — exist only while the page is running and disappear when it is closed or refreshed.

This means Fair Go does not currently display a consent banner simply to collect optional marketing consent when no optional tracking technology is active. If optional cookies are introduced, this policy and any required consent control must be updated before or when they are deployed.

2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

A cookie is a small text value that a website can ask a browser to store. Cookies can keep a session working, remember a preference, measure visits or connect browsing activity with advertising. A cookie can be set by the site being visited or by a third-party service embedded in that site.

Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, tracking pixels, software-development-kit identifiers and device fingerprinting. They do not all work in the same way, but they can serve similar purposes. This policy uses “cookies” as a convenient term while explaining important differences where needed.

3. Common Cookie Categories

Strictly necessary cookies support functions such as security, load balancing, consent storage or a requested session. A site may not work correctly without them.

Preference cookies remember choices such as language, display settings or a dismissed notice.

Analytics cookies measure visits and interactions so a publisher can understand usage. Fair Go does not currently set analytics cookies through its site code.

Advertising cookies can measure referrals, personalise marketing or connect activity across sites. Fair Go does not currently load advertising pixels or intentionally set advertising cookies on its own pages.

The absence of a category today is not permission to introduce it silently. Any future non-essential use must be assessed, disclosed and controlled as required by applicable law.

4. Server Logs Are Not the Same as Browser Cookies

A web server normally receives technical details when it delivers a page, even when the browser stores no cookie. Hosting and security infrastructure may record an IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser information, response status and referrer to route traffic, diagnose errors and detect abuse.

These request logs live on infrastructure rather than inside the visitor’s browser. They may still be personal information in some circumstances and are addressed in the Privacy Policy.

5. Affiliate Links and External Websites

Fair Go contains links to external websites. An affiliate URL may include a referral parameter in the link itself. That parameter can identify Fair Go as the referring publisher without placing a cookie on the Fair Go page.

After you follow an external link, the destination may set its own cookies, record the referral, request consent or process account and transaction information. Fair Go does not control those technologies. Review the destination’s cookie notice before accepting optional tracking or providing information.

Blocking cookies on Fair Go does not automatically block cookies on a separate destination. Browser settings, privacy extensions and destination-specific controls operate independently.

6. How to Control Browser Storage

Most browsers allow you to view stored website data, delete cookies, block third-party cookies, clear data when the browser closes or prevent all cookies. The exact menu depends on the browser and device.

Blocking every cookie can break sign-in, security or preference features on other websites. A more targeted approach is to block third-party cookies and clear data for a specific site. Private browsing can reduce local history but does not make a person anonymous to websites, networks or internet providers.

Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across the web. Because Fair Go does not currently run behavioural analytics or advertising trackers, it does not build a separate advertising profile in response to that signal.

7. Future Technology and Policy Changes

If Fair Go later adds analytics, advertising, embedded media, a consent preference or another feature that stores information in the browser, the new purpose, provider and expected duration should be documented here. A consent mechanism will be added where required before optional technology runs.

The effective date at the top identifies the current audit. Visitors should revisit this page after a material site update. A policy statement does not override what the deployed code actually does; Fair Go aims to keep the two aligned.

8. Cookie and Privacy Questions

Questions about cookies, browser storage or technical privacy can be sent to [email protected]. Include the page URL, browser and a description of what you observed. Do not send passwords, PINs, identity documents or full payment-card details.
